About Us
Moonshot Sustainability LLC was established in 2023 by Bradford Roberts to provide advice and co-create solutions together with businesses, non-profit organizations, and governments to achieve meaningful impact in emerging markets. Bradford worked over 20 years at the International Finance Corporation and World Bank, with the last 15 years focused on sustainability in the agribusiness sector. This experience included scoping, designing, implementing, and evaluating projects together with private sector clients and local partners in over 30 countries across Africa, Asia, and Latin America. Over the course of this work, Bradford has engaged with private sector businesses (Walmart, Unilever, Cargill, Yara, Bayer Crop Sciences, ECOM, Jain Irrigation, L’Oreal, etc.), multilateral/international financial banks (World Bank, African Development Bank, Asian Development Bank, International Finance Corporation, Dutch Entrepreneurial Development Bank (FMO), Rabobank), UN-Rome Based Agencies (FAO, IFAD, WFP) and bilateral/private donors (DFID, Dutch, Swiss, AusAID, US Treasury, USAID, Global Affairs of Canada, Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation) amongst others.
Before starting his professional career, Bradford was a United States Peace Corps Volunteer in Paraguay working with a dairy cooperative and a Masters Degree graduate from Johns Hopkins University School of Advanced International Studies (SAIS).
About Our Founder
Founder Bradford Roberts: Based in the Washington DC area, Bradford brings 20+ years of experience in advisory and blended finance investment services with International Finance Corporation and World Bank. Bradford has served as a technical lead, program manager, project designer and blended finance investment officer in sustainable food systems. He has formed partnerships between Fortune 500 companies (Walmart, Cargill, Yara, etc.), governments, NGOs, and local stakeholders. He has experience both across the agribusiness value chain and on critical themes including sustainability challenges, private sector investment, blended finance solutions, improving livelihoods and value chain integration, regulatory constraints and enhancing market linkages. Brad has lived and worked in Singapore, Sri Lanka, India, Peru, Mozambique, Brazil, Paraguay, and Ecuador and speaks Spanish and Portuguese.
